So for those of you unaware, yesterday was my two year anniversary. Consequentially, I spent the majority of the day hanging out and spending some time with my lovely wife and thus spent little to no (emphasis on the no part) time blogging. Let's hope that this is the last magnificent Tuesday we have. For those of you who still hold some sort of grudge, I will try to win back your good graces by pointing you to this site. If cute and cuddly pictures of kitties doesn't sway you, well then, may ceiling cat help you.
Anyways, so here's a quick snapshot of how I did this past week.
1. Bible reading! Still at square one. Moving on!
2. We now have a new car. It's a zippy '99 Nissan Altima and it has the word ALE in its license plate. I think we're going to get along quite well.
3. Working out. Still trying to work out that whole schedule thing.
4. Got a hold on my bursar's account for not paying Fall 2010 tuition. I can't pay the tuition because I haven't gotten my financial aid. I haven't gotten my financial aid because I can't sign up for classes. I can't sign up for classes because there's a hold on my bursar's account. I have a hold on my bursar's account because...
5. Let's just not even get into how messed up my sleep cycle this past week was.
So all in all the main success of this past week was getting a relatively new car. So... let's just kind of move my plans forward a week and try this again. A second chance if you will to try and get these things done. So!
1. Finish Matthew and Kings 1 + 2.
2. Um... Put together a complex sort of murder mystery dinner for the 11th.
3. Start running. I think I'm going to tone this whole "let's work out!" thing a bit down and start from the basics. Running and getting my cardio and lungs back into shape. Rule #2(?) of zombieland, Cardio.
4. Figure out what the hell the UofA was thinking by setting this odd cycle into its perpetual motion.
5. Sleeping is nice. Let's work on it, I think I'm going to start taking melatonin to try and help with this. Don't worry, it's perfectly safe and I'm just planning on using it to get past not being tired even though it's 1am.
And so there we are. My
On a separate note, some of you may recall that roughly a week and a few days ago I posted a rather
[drum roll please]
All of the choices... (I know you can't hear it, but imagine a questioning inflection of my voice as you read that.) The results were 25% across the board when I last checked. Thus, there's no clear winner. Also, only about 4 people voted. This is sort of problematic. Now then, I think the next step for me will be to 1) find a poll hosting site that doesn't suck and 2) figure out a way to get a stronger vote. I suppose we could always use comments for now though.
Yes.
Let's do that.
So if you would like to er... "vote" on what my major post will be for Fridays/Saturdays, then if you would please leave a comment letting me know what topic your vote is for. Alternatively, if you would like to keep your privacy, you can either let me know via e-mail or simply request that I put up another poll.
Hopefully this one turns out a bit better than the last attempt.
-Ken
PS: Just a reminder, the choices were:
1. Short Stories/Poetry
2. Movie/Book/Anime Reviews
3. A World of Warcraft sort of Adventure Log
4. A Lore post about various mythological figure.
5. Other, give a suggestion in the comments and others can vote for it as well.
[EDIT]: So.. here's a link here to the original post for the explanation for those of you that have forgotten.
I voted for Movie/Book/Anime Reviews. I think video games should be reviewed as well.
ReplyDeleteI voted short stories, and I stand by that vote.
ReplyDeleteI've read your writing. I know what's up. It's good and you should share it with other people.
Also, I think my vote should count twice since I've experienced the genre of literature I've chosen. I'm an informed voter.
