After reviewing my previous post on Wednesday, I realized what an interesting thing. My post was actually more than just random, humorous gibberish. It actually held some amount of usefulness. I think... I think this may be a sign that my writing has begun to... to... mature ever so slightly...

Okay, maybe not. But meh, it was worth checking. So whatever shall we talk about today? Well, first I'd like to point out that my wife's birthday was this past week and that not only did I remember, as every good husband that wants to be able to have a merry Christmas should, I also got her a gift of sorts. Well, actually several days before her birthday we went to go and see the Nutcracker (Southwestern style with coyotes and such instead of mice) and went to dinner afterwards. Well, for her actual birthday I took her to see The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader (excellent movie imho) and then to Zoolights at Reid Park. For those of you reading this right now with significant others or thinking of an interesting first date, consider it. It's cheap, short, and entertaining to say the least.
At least, that's what I'd like to say. The truth of the matter is that I wasn't bright enough to check the weather report and it started raining after the movie. Needless to say, cold weather and sheets of rain while walking around a zoo looking at Christmas lights doesn't exactly spell out romance. It does in fact spell out FAIL though were I foolish enough to actually follow through with the plan. Thankfully, I am not, and instead opted to go to Starbucks and then walk around the mall for a little while before calling it a night. (She had to open the next morning.)
And so, we have here, a lesson to be learned. Always check the damn weather reports.
Anyhoo... So this is the week that I'll be starting up my work out regiment. Ideally I'll be able to figure out a regiment that'll hold through to the semester and then some. I think that it'd be nice to be able to figure out how to stay in shape throughout the semester without shirking my other responsibilities. I also happened upon something called Adventure Racing, it seems like a pretty interesting activity, although I doubt that I'd be particularly interested in dedicating myself to such a demanding sport, I do like the idea of trail running. I think I'll make that my goal: To be able to run a decent trail at Mount Lemon come the end of the Christmas break. Anyone interested can tag along, but you'd better be in shape or else you'll be left in the dust. =) And with that I think I'll leave this post.
Some food for thought: Have you started thinking about your New Year's Resolutions yet?
