Monday's Group

So... I feel like I ought to mention a couple things from yesterday. 1st, I went over to the Guys' place to help with small group a bit early since, well, I don't really have much else to do save homework, and let's be honest here, what was I gonna choose? I digress. So whilst there Kris had some bubblegum and was blowing bubbles. Well... she made a particularly large bubble and I opted to pop it. NOT A GOOD PLAN. You see, the average bubble, when it pops, collapses upon itself much like that of an imploding star. However, once the bubble reaches a certain size, which I shall conveniently dub the Super Uber unContained Kollapse point or SUCK, the bubble no longer implodes but explodes. Now for those of you unable to foresee the very bad future situation, I shall lay it out.
-Kris makes bubble larger than SUCK.
-Ken pops bubble.
-Bubble explodes in a Huge fiery explosion.
-Gum is lands on everything, the desk, the windows, small children, and Kris's face.
-Gum also lands on some of Kris's hair.
-Kris is now very unhappy with Ken.
-Later, peanut butter is involved.
-Gum is removed.
-Ken realizes that a chain of events have been set off that will inevitably result in the horrifying end of all existence through a vision and weeps profusely.
-fin.
And thus the gum situation was resolved. The other thing worth remembering, I say this because it has been more than 24hours and I still remember it, was that I was leaning on a counter-top next to the fridge and proceeded to get my arm stuck between the counter and fridge. I, being the supreme ninja that I am, would have simply stealthily removed my arm by using my force powers to move the fridge over. However, Kris and David were both present and caught onto my dilemma thus I was forced to resort to mortal means which made my entire predicament that much more embarrassing interesting. And so... aside from that the group went pretty well imo, and I'm looking forward to SIGPoBarB. Also, as it turns out, I am producing this week, so that'll make my weekend that much more interesting. Also, my lil sis is supposed to come up on Saturday, so yeah... maybe we can go to Fall Ball, in the very least we'll sure as hell jam out. Also, I have a paper to write on by Friday. Also also, I've got a midterm this Friday. For my Native American Class. SUCK. Not the gum thing. The other kind. Or rather, I should say blows since the concept of sucking is really a difference in air pressures with the higher pressured system rushing into the lower pressure system, thus everything blows. However, this is considered vulgar. So... Frass... I need to study... Guess I'll go drown my problems with a healthy dose of ODST and then deprive my body of precious hours of sleep in order to study/write my paper thus weakening my immune system in a time of great need as the prevalence of flu infection grows ever stronger. /catch breathe. Well that's all, I'm off to PWN some scrubs.

1. Contacts are awesome. I can look down w/o them falling off.
2. I keep trying to put my glasses on which is wierd.
3. I cannot wait to get home and game!
On the way to my optometrist appointment I saw a blue prius driving around like a sports car. Just so everyone is clear, THIS IS NOT THE CASE! It's a prius.

Honestly, does anybody ever use AIM anymore? It seems like quite the waste of space and I'm thinking that it's high time it left my comp.

The Flower

The flower rises from the ground;
A strong stem, feet on the ground;
Slim, curved leaves reach for the sky;
A blossom looks to its Father.

"Father," she cries;
"There is a fire all around me";
"The smoke rises, the sun fails";
"And I can do nothing."

"I have nothing to help";
"I am small, I have little water";
"I can only offer fodder to the flame";
"What use can I possibly be?"

With a cry, she begins to wilt;
The fires bearing close;
All seems lost;
Then, a teardrop falls.

A thousand shards of Hope;
Of Peace, Of Strength, Of Joy;
A thousand more shards of answered prayer fall;
The flames die, the flower looks up.

Sunlight passes through the clouds;
Illumination comes to the broken wood;
The flower stands firm, resolute;
"Why?"

"I have nothing to offer, why?"
A traveler passes by;
He pauses, He stops;
A brush of the fingertips.

A shiver, a shimmer;
The softest touch;
The flower looks up;
A smile.

"Look here," the traveler says;
"This flower has survived the flame";
"No doubt it is because of her beauty";
Another approaches.

"No," says the other;
It is because of her heart;
The desire above all;
To help.

"The beauty of this flower";
"The smile it shows us so brightly";
"It extends from the beauty of her";
"Heart."

They walk;
The flower stares up;
The sky is clear;
A Smile.

Eureka! (Pronounced Eu-re-ka, not Eu-ree-ka.)

So tonight, last night, this morning? So on Thursday night, the 24th of November September (I need to get my dates straight) the movie Eureka SeveN: Pocket Full of Rainbows (Yes, I know this is the direct translation and not the english title, but let's be honest here people, the former is just way better than 'Goodnight, sleep tight, young lovers.') debuted in select theaters across the nation. Now considering I have a ridiculous physics lab that goes until 8pm and then small group immediately afterwards, I didn't think I'd be able to make it, so I did the only logical thing I could think of. I found a perfectly legal copy that was English subbed (meaning that the audio was in Japanese, but the subtitles are in english) and watched it. And holy frass I was not disappointed. Oh? Frass isn't a word? Yes it is, google it. I dare you. No. I double-dog dare you. For those of you who don't know me and haven't already assumed, the movie I'm referring to is animated. Meaning it is what some have termed an "anime". Now, simply put, I like animes. I think they're fun. Some people do not. If you are one of these people, and the speaking/thinking/quoting/remembering/other stuffsings about anime bothers you in some way. Then you sir, or madam, and I have what some might refer to as an ideological difference. That is okay, it's acceptable, and I've come across such situations before. The best thing to do in my experience is for you to simply apologize to me and admit that you are wrong, a biggit, and simply have no idea what you are talking about. It's okay. I understand. And yes, I do forgive you for not liking anime. Moving on... The movie takes place in a sort of alternate universe from the original anime series that it is based upon. However, certain elements remain such as the love story between the characters Renton and Eureka, but with a rather large twist. Any how, it's a bit cheesy and cliche at parts, but at the same time amazingly cute to watch. It did make me want to watch the original anime though, so I might devote some of my free time to that.
Also, watershed it tomorrow. A fun filled day at a remote desolate institution where my church and I will gather around and plot the inevitable take-over of the world! Mwahahahaha! Not really, but wouldn't that be kinda awesome? Nah, in reality it is but a simple church retreat intended to help connect members of the church and get people a lil closer to God. I'm not entirely sure what the whole situation will entail, but I will for sure be bringing my own food to snack on since I am positive I'll have the munchies at some point in time. Well that's all for this post, tune in next time for a lesson in karate chops! (Offer not valid in 3 dimensional space and void where prohibited.)

WoW in RL

So... If I'm not mistaken, I realized in class today that I was unknowingly applying a WoW concept to how I deal with me classes... Namely not letting your energy cap as a rogue because I'm waiting or taking too long to do things. Nerd much? I think not, it's a matter of practicality imo. Cheers!

Week cuatro?

So today marks the first day of the fourth week of classes. Interestingly, despite my shortcomings, I've been able to keep up with a fair portion of my readings. Now granted I've only done 50% of the readings for all my classes, this is a 5000% increase in the amount of reading done during previous semsters. So... Yeah... Anyways, regarding DR, I'm now pretty much in charge of a small group right now. Will this change, I don't know. However, we've only had one meeting so far (though it went over quite well in my opinion) thus the amount of evaluating that can be done is rather minimal. However, if memory serves correctly, our group has been self-dubbed the "Shark Infested Gladiator Pit of Blood and ^Root Beer" or "SIGPoBaRB". Pretty catchy in my opinion (imo). Oh yeah, I think that I'll start defining my acronyms as I use them in the event that the reader is unfamiliar with said acronyms. I've got really only one good idea for the group so far, and that is the question of what it means to be a man. I'll go more into that topic at a later time though. All in all, the first few weeks of school have been rather good and I'm excited about the future, particularly with the small group.

Post-Script: I need to practice my Spanish. Also, I'm not sure that anyone actually reads this thing, but hey it works as a nice time capsule.
