So... I have no idea what Brackenwall is, I'll Google it later. Also, if you capitalize Google it doesn't have a red line under it... weird. Anyways, today was the first day that I went to all of my classes in about three weeks... yeah... Today when Fahren saw me she didn't think that I was still in the class anymore, that's when you know it's bad. Actually, I'd say it's pretty bad if your professor asks the class if anyone has seen you and whether or not you're still alive. But yeah... I've got a paper due this Friday in my personal morality class as well as an exam for the same class on Monday, in one week. Today was the first I've heard anything pertaining to the material we're on in class at all. I have one more class to catch up on everything, this'll be fun. I don't even want to start with my Native American class, that class is ridiculous in that even when I was going to class everyday and paying attention I still had no idea what the frass I was supposed to read, do, or even think about for the class. I got a B on my last exam too... but a 100% on my paper! So... whenever I find out what I need to do, I hope that I'll be able to prepare accordingly. Then there's physics... I haven't gone to that class in about a month in a half... yeah... However! I missed 1 question on my last exam which bothers me so I will be going to that class more often now. I demand perfection from that class, and I shall have it, mark my words! You here that Physics Exam #3!?!? I shall slay you without flaw!!! Mwahahahaha! (That is way easier to type than to actually do.) (Also, I wonder how many of my readers can picture me actually laughing maniacally?) Then there's my virology class, so many diabolical viruses, so little time. Also, I'm doing considerably well in that class, got A's on my last two exams so yeah... I don't know why I'm writing about this crap. I guess it's what's happening in my life... kinda sad imo. How about this:
Today, I walked out of class located in the ILC. The sun was out, the shadows were everywhere, and the scent of the air was putrid. Something was wrong. I walked to the start of the stairs. Sunlight. Like those of a vampire, my eyes despised it to a degree. As easily and sleekly as my shades went on, so did my headphones with some bitchin' tunes. I took my first step and continued to climb. Today, I climbed towards Destiny....
Those of you reading undoubtedly are laughing to some degree, either within the expanse of your own mind or out loud, but I'll have you know that this is what goes on in mind. And to be perfectly honest, my life seems to be way more epic than it actually probably is. Well, I'm off to assist with small group preparations. Stay away from da Voodoo!
-Ken

The Ups and Downs of this Past Week: Richard and Family
So...
So...
So...
So... you've been gone awhile...
Yeah well, you know I had this thing and then that thing came up and..
There's someone else, isn't there?
What? No! There's not someone else, why wold you think that? I've just had an interesting week.
Well... you never post from your phone anymore...
Yeah, I know, I'll try to do that more often. Now shall we move on to what's been going on?
Yes, let's.
Well now that that's done and over with, let's go over this past week shall we?
Saturday 10/10
I went spelunking with Mitch, Josh McInnes, Jared, Isaac, and Ben.
How did that go? Pretty well if I don't say so myself. (<= WTF, where did that phrase even come from, on paper it makes no sense!) I've got some interesting video that I'll try and post later on when I've compiled it. So yeah... Spelunking, caves, awesomeness, that was Saturday. Sunday 10/11
Woke up feeling like a monkey crapped me out and threw me against a wall, then subsequently threw a plethora of toothpaste, bananas, mangoes, tomatoes, coconuts, and other various items at me. Simply put, I did not feel good and slept till like noon. But! Once I woke up I felt immensely better after having eaten and drunk some water. Also, it was Talitha's birthday, so I called her up to wish her a happy birthday. Then at like 7pm I got a call from Elvia, my aunt down in Yuma, about my Uncle Richard. Now then about a week before this call I received another call specifying that Richard was sick and that he only had another 2 months to live. So I planned on taking a trip or two down there when I could, most probably this coming weekend and sometime in November. However, the cal I received at 7pm on Sunday, October 11th was to inform me that at 4:15pm that afternoon Richard had passed away. So throughout the week I exchanged several calls with Elvia to establish when the funeral was to be. It ended up being this past Friday/Saturday. Viewing on Friday, Service on Saturday.
And so, the rest of the week passed by. I took my exams in Personal Morality and Physics. I skipped classes and read about the lectures later. I went to the meetings I was supposed to mostly. But things were... different.
Friday 10/16
Got my stitches removed finally! My back is now almost completely healed up! Yay! After my appointment Heidi and I started our journey to Yuma (a 3 hour and 45 minute trip according to Google Maps). The viewing went from 6pm to 9pm, we arrived at 8:30pm. And so I got to take one more look at my Uncle as well as meet several of my relatives that I didn't know I had.
Saturday 10/17
Spent the night at my Grandmother's house and woke up to get to the funeral home at around 8am. I was to be pallbearer. The service was interesting. The church was homely. All in all, it was a good way to send my uncle off. Afterwords, I went to breakfast with some friends of the family as well as my uncle-in-law and my cousin, it went well IMO. There was a lunch a bit afterwords where I had a chance to meet with some more of my lost relatives. I spent the afternoon with Heidi and my Grandparents (Korean side). Then, after dinner, Heidi and I left to go home.
Sunday 10/18
Woke up sick again. Not a very fun thing, although ever since I arrived at my grandmother's I felt like I had something but was trying to fight it off, guess it got the better of me after all. Didn't do much, was sick most of the day and so I spent way too much time on WoW, although I couldn't really get up to do much else and I wasn't tired at all since I slept in quite a bit. The day came and went.
Monday 10/19
Today I skipped three of my classes in favor of studying for my final class of virology in which I had an exam that I hadn't studied for at all really. I think I did pretty well IMO. Afterwords, I went to the SEL (Science and Engineering Library) and later received a call from Lady Shermer with a quest (<= Yay WoW!). After, I borrowed her computer and started updating my blog and that just about concludes my story. Now then, that was my week. Quite the adventure... well sort of at least. I believe that some sort of explanation is in order concerning my relatives. So... at some point in time I completely lost contact with my mom's side of the family, I'm thinking around when I went into 5th or 6th grade. But I digress, I shall talk about my past, my mother, and my father another time. Point is, I completely lost contact with these people. So when my aunt Virginia past away this past summer and I went to the funeral it was one hell of an experience with names and whatnot. However, while I was there I got a chance to see Richard, for the last time sadly, and that was quite great. You see, Richard was someone that for some reason had a large impact on my childhood. I never put my finger on why, but he meant a lot to me and I have several distinct memories of him that I kept with me all of these years fresh as if they happened yesterday. However, I never had the chance to communicate this to him (considering that the last time I saw him was not a particularly good time) and thus when I found out that he had passed away I was quite devastated. One must understand that this was my first experience with death and that I was under the impression that I had more time. Time, as I've learned, never really seems to give a damn about you. Anyways, I was much comforted by the fact that I was chosen to be pallbearer. This, for me, gave me the understanding that Richard must have known to some degree that I appreciated him, and even more so I had understood how much I meant to him. So that was the first major thing about this past week, the second is more of a conspiracy. Second, I found out that my mother, whom everyone in my immediate family, myself included, was not, in fact, adopted as we were all led to believe. At least, in part. It turns out that she was my aunt Virginia's first daughter, however when she had her she was really young and so she gave my mom to her mother to be adopted and my mom was raised as being Richard and Virginia's sister. This is not actually the case and my aunt Virginia and uncle Richard are actually my great-aunt Virginia and my great-uncle Richard. And my cousins Elvia and Barbara are actually my aunts. So yeah, it was quite an interesting find. So... yeah, that pretty much wraps up my week. And, now that I've updated I can continue my routine of updating from my phone whenever I friggin' feel like it! And so.. Goodnight. -Ken PS: I started this at 5:02pm, it is now 6:14pm. Note to self, don't wait so long to update. Also, I've got videos and pics to post later, I'll keep y'all posted. [EDIT]: Changed the tag and title to be more appropriate.

The Lost Battle
Got my Native American Exam back... An 85%... I actually knew the answers to 4 of the 5 questions I missed... You've bested me again sleep depravation/procrastination... You've bested me again... *sigh*

Cyst Removal
First off, to those with a weak stomach, my sincerest apologies; however I felt it necessary to post about the fact that I just had my cyst removed and that it kind of sucked. I can't post the pictures at the bottom of the post so... Sorry! Anyways, I just got out of the surgeon's office where they removed a large cyst I had on my back. (I'm about to go into detail, stop now if you want.) So I go in, lay down and then have novacane jabbed into my back. I'm not particularly fond of needles, thus having 6-7 shots of novacane to numb my back was not precisely fun. Afterwards, I feel something dragging across my back and realize that he, the surgeon, is cutting my back open. Then. For the next ten minutes I feel a series of tugs and pulls on my back and hear/"feel" him snipping away at something. I say "feel" cause I could feel something happening, but couldn't really put my finger on the type of sensation. There were a few times where he cut out of reach of the novacane. THAT, SUCKED. Aside from that everything went smoothly enough. Also, it's an odd feeling having thread lace in and out of your skin. Well, that's all, the novacane will wear off in about another 30 minutes so... I'll update when it does. Cheers!

Ingenuity
Ingenuity...
ingenuity (in·ge·nu·i·ty) /ˌɪndʒəˈnuɪti, -ˈnyu-/ [in-juh-noo-i-tee, -nyoo-] –noun, plural -ties for 3.
1. the quality of being cleverly inventive or resourceful; inventiveness: a designer of great ingenuity.
2. cleverness or skillfulness of conception or design: a device of great ingenuity.
3. an ingenious contrivance or device.
4. Obsolete. ingenuousness.
I am choosing to 1. Ignore the fourth definition, and 2. Take any energy that'd be spent on the fourth definition and channel it all into the first definition for emphasis. I suppose some energy could be taken from the second and third definitions...
But why? Why Ken do you want the readers to know the definition of ingenuity? I'm glad you asked Voice from Nowhere in Particular. The reason I bring this up is because of the picture that will follow this wall of text. (Assuming of course, that the picture I'm about to upload is actually posted.) So in the next few moments- WAIT! Do you feel that? The suspense that slowly builds as your read this? It's great, isn't it? NOW! Scroll down and witness the image that is cleverness, ingenious, awesome, awe-inspiring, great, wonderful, excellent, beautiful, so-great-that-I-could-keep-going-but-won't-as-I-can-sense-your-frustrations-building. Anyways... All that is to say, Look at what I did!
This is your pilot speaking... Cheese... That is all.
-Ken
PS: I've decided to write in a very odd mood today.
[EDIT: Apparently posting pictures works!!! But it posts the pictures first, I must take this into consideration in the future.]

The Friday Rush and Lab Meetings
Ever watch one of those movies where you're kind of lost the entire movie until the very end where everything comes together and you're like...whoa... It all makes perfect sense now. Like getting really high and contemplating life... so I've heard at least... Ok, well I have no factual basis for this claim but I still think it's valid. No? Well you're a triceratops.(Spelling???) Anyways, point is the meeting I just got out of from my lab I work in was very much like that. Most of my knowledge base was kind of all linked together, and glorious music played in the background. Aside from that my lil sister is coming down today, so tonight should prove to be interesting...
